On-site wind monitoring

We can assist you with on-site wind monitoring if required via stand-alone systems which have remote data loggers for speed and direction, or more sophisticated solar powered equipment with a GPRS telemetry link allowing data to be viewed by the hour.

The wind yield will of course vary with the seasons and the autumn and winter periods are typically the most productive ones, so to gauge a full picture of the wind, the monitoring station needs to be active for at least 6 months across a seasonal change i.e. summer through autumn or winter through spring. A twelve month trial will provide the most accurate data but this is sometimes not possible if clients are working to tight timescales.
