The use of photovoltaics (PV) in buildings has has grown rapidly since the introduction of the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) in April 2010. It is now an established commoditized technology, with most PV manufacturers offering 25 year performance guarantee and a life expectancy of more than 30 years with little to no maintenance required.
