ExCeL London Northside

ExCeL London is the UK's premier exhibition and conference centre, located on a 100-acre site in London Docklands. Hosting eight of London's top ten trade shows, it has won many accolades including the 2010 World Travel Awards title as the World's Best Meetings & Conference Centre. Since opening in 2000 the venue has hosted over 2000 events and welcomed over 5 million visitors from over 200 different countries.

In preparation to host the London 2012 Olympic Games, ExCeL London has expanded its efforts to convert the facility to greener, more energy-efficient LED lighting. Dialight's new 150W 14,000 lumen High Bays replaced 35 400W high-pressure sodium (HPS) fixtures to improve illumination to the north side exterior of the structure including the loading dock and traffic marshalling areas.

This lighting adds to the Dialight high bays already supplied and installed by Elite Renewables in the central boulevard and the south dockside. The new exterior lighting greatly improves the lighting along the northside where major deliveries are made to the centre as well as the entrance to the main underground car parks.

Each high bay fixture is fitted with a photocell sensor for automatic dusk to dawn operation. With the added benefit of an instant on/off and clearer images from the CCTV cameras there are extra safety and security benefits.
